I first took piano lessons as a kid but was bored with the rigid instruction that the Royal Conservatory of Music imposed on its students. I was taught that there was one right way to do things, and I seemed to be doing all the wrong things.
In my late 40’s, I looked back on my life and decided I wanted to revisit my earlier piano experience.
I found David Burt Studio on the web and met up with David. Well, I never looked back. David opened my mind to understanding that music is really about pattern recognition, and suddenly the mystery around music and the anxiety from my earlier rigid piano experience vanished. I was now not only playing music but making music. Thanks David for making the unknowable both knowable and fun.
