About David Burt...David was born in Toronto and has been a professional musician since 1960. He studied with a number of music teachers and was a founding member of the rock & roll group The Ardels. The Ardels played all over Ontario during the early to mid 60's and many times shared the stage with Little Caesar & The Consuls, Richie Knight & The Mid-Knights, Bobby Curtola, The Dovels, to name just a few. In the early 70's David studied under Gordon Delamont, a renowned teacher of composition and arranging, whose textbooks are still used in many Colleges and Universities. It was from this five-year period of study that David developed a unique piano course designed for mature students in the playing of contemporary music. David is one of very few teachers around that is able to teach priviately, the Delamont series of textbooks. He opened his studio in 1975. |
